I pride myself in the fact that when I'm wrong, I admit it. In this situation, I looked that the facts the MSM presented and was convinced that George Zimmerman was a cold blooded killer. Mind you, I didn't think race really had anything to do with it but nevertheless, I was taken in by what the media was presenting as facts. I can blame the meds I'm taking, I can blame my heavy work schedule, or any number of things, but I won't. I simply made a rookie mistake...a mistake I thought I outgrew ages ago.
As more facts come out, more questions are raised. There are witnesses, videos, pictures, statements, all SORTS of stuff that wasn't initially reported. There is more background into the two key players. Of course, that information should not be used to form an opinion as to this particular case, but human nature will indeed take this into consideration.
We have the typical race baiters, who while trying to become relevant again, are threatening "civil disobedience" and have gone so far as putting a bounty on Mr. Zimmerman's head. There are celebrities, and celebrity has-beens, publishing Mr. Zimmerman's address for all to see. This is not only dangerous, it's criminal. Should anything happen to Mr. Zimmerman by vigilantes who have been thrown into a frenzy by this hysteria, those who fed the fire should also be held liable.
Friends, my point is this. NONE of us know all the facts of this case. We are not being presented with all of the evidence. We are not privy to the investigation. Unless and until we are, cool heads need to prevail. Let the investigations play out and THEN form an opinion as to what really happened that tragic day.
UPDATE: Spike Lee does the right thing.

Missing the Opportunity to Abort Child, Couple Strikes it Rich.
There are so many things wrong with this I don't know where to begin. Ahh - okay - let's start at the beginning. The title of the article.
As one of their two other boys, what would you think? Would you wonder if mommy and daddy would have killed you if you weren't perfect?
The parents claim they love their child, and make excuse after excuse about how the lawsuit was the right thing to do. They complain that they're receiving death threats. Well cry me a river. I have NO sympathy for these people. What they may have done had they known is, I suppose, their business. However, letting the entire world know that you don't think an imperfect (in your eyes) child deserves to be born is beyond reprehensible.
Couple Wins Suit, Doc Didn’t Suggest Aborting Baby With Down SyndromeSay whut?? There must be more to the story than that, right? Unfortunately, that pretty much says it all.
A couple in Oregon has been awarded $2.9 million because they would have aborted their little girl had they known she had Down Syndrome. Deborah and Ariel Levy told an Oregon court that prenatal testing they received said little Kalanit did not have Down Syndrome. The Levy said that they were devastated when Kalanit was diagnosed after she was born.Yet in this article which bears the headline
Victory for couple who said they 'would have aborted daughter if they knew she had Down's syndrome' as jury forces hospital to pay $2.9million following botched testtheir attorney says
'These are parents who love this little girl very, very much,' he said. 'Their mission since the beginning was to provide for her and that's what this is all about.'Okaaaayyy...you love your little girl so much that you are willing to let the entire world that you would have aborted her had you known her condition. They claim the money is to take care of this precious innocent. Okay - I'll give ya that. It's not cheap to take care of a special needs child...however, millions of people do it every day. They don't juice the system and publicize to not only the world, but their two OTHER sons that they were chagrined that they didn't have an opportunity to kill this child.

Ethics my Sweet ASS!!!
Friends, my head is exploding right now. My body is literally shaking. I am aware that generally speaking, the morals of the masses have been on a VERY slippery slope. Look at what they show on TV. Look at the types of people kids idolize. I find it quite disturbing, but THIS takes the cake.
Good Lord - does no one value life anymore? It seems, in article after article that I read, that there is NO value put on babies. There have been, as of this writing, 5 co-sleeping deaths in Milwaukee already. It's gotten to the point that this surprises no one anymore. Yet no one is held accountable. Women are murdering, or letting their baby daddy murder, innocent children, yet the punishment they get is laughable!!
That this is written by "medical ethicists" and published in the Journal for Medical Ethics is truly frightening. Ethics is defined as follows:
It's simply reprehensible.
Parents should be allowed to have their newborn babies killed because they are “morally irrelevant” and ending their lives is no different to abortion, a group of medical ethicists linked to Oxford University has argued.I don't even know where to begin. "Morally irrelevant"???? "Potential person"???? Okay, let's start with this, and I'll try to go REAL slow. These cretins call it "post-birth abortion" when what it really is is infanticide. Infantacide is defined as the killing of an infant. Infantacide is illegal. There is a reason for this. Because once the child is born, it is LEGALLY a person. NOT a potential person. (I will not get into the argument about when a fetus becomes a person - that's not the point here) A living breathing Person. The thought that ANYONE could think of a newborn as a "thing" and that anyone would have a right to murder that "thing" is abhorrent.
The article, published in the Journal of Medical Ethics, says newborn babies are not “actual persons” and do not have a “moral right to life”. The academics also argue that parents should be able to have their baby killed if it turns out to be disabled when it is born.
The article, entitled “After-birth abortion: Why should the baby live?”, was written by two of Prof Savulescu’s former associates, Alberto Giubilini and Francesca Minerva.
They argued: “The moral status of an infant is equivalent to that of a fetus in the sense that both lack those properties that justify the attribution of a right to life to an individual.”
Rather than being “actual persons”, newborns were “potential persons”. They explained: “Both a fetus and a newborn certainly are human beings and potential persons, but neither is a ‘person’ in the sense of ‘subject of a moral right to life’.

That this is written by "medical ethicists" and published in the Journal for Medical Ethics is truly frightening. Ethics is defined as follows:
1.The right conduct? Moral values? More worrisome, the "general nature" of morals? The article goes on to read:
a. A set of principles of right conduct.
b. A theory or a system of moral values: "An ethic of service is at war with a craving for gain" (Gregg Easterbrook).
2. ethics (used with a sing. verb) The study of the general nature of morals and of the specific moral choices to be made by a person; moral philosophy.
3. ethics (used with a sing. or pl. verb) The rules or standards governing the conduct of a person or the members of a profession: medical ethics.
“The goal of the Journal of Medical Ethics is not to present the Truth or promote some one moral view. It is to present well reasoned argument based on widely accepted premises.”My friends, if this EVER becomes a "widely accepted premise" we are in a WHOLE lot more trouble than I ever imagined.
It's simply reprehensible.
R.I.P. Andrew Breitbart
I am simply stunned. Via Breitbart TV
With a terrible feeling of pain and loss we announce the passing of Andrew Breitbart. He was truly a pioneer - a warrior of the people. He will most assuredly be missed.
Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.
We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior.
Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love.
Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:
I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and—famously—I enjoy making enemies.
Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. I’ve lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I’ve gained hundreds, thousands—who knows?—of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night.
Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us.
