The Right Direction

Heh.
Executives surveyed by Wisconsin's largest business lobbying group overwhelmingly say the state is "going in the right direction," a near-complete reversal of sentiment from a year ago that comes against a backdrop of exceptional political animosity.
...
A year ago, 10% of the survey respondents said they believed Wisconsin was going in the right direction. This year, that number jumped to 88%.
Hmmm - from 10% to 88%. Not bad - not bad at all.

Hate to say I told ya so but...aww hell...no I dont. TOLD YA SO!!

Thank you Governor Walker. Wisconsin is indeed open for business.

  1. Of course the higher ups and CEO types are going to say its going great, they should poll the middle class worker to give that more creditability in my most humble opinion.......

So why was it that a year ago those same CEOs and higher ups were saying Wisconsin is a lousy place to do business? They couldn't get out of the state fast enough thanks to the former administration's war on business.

And don't forget - it is precisely those higher ups that CREATE the jobs for the middle class worker.

  3. Sure and now the worker have less rights, money and benefits and the glory of it all, they skate on the blame and put it all on Obama, its a perfect world.

  4. And just because they say its better, is there actual proof? I mean, I can say I am as skinny as I was when I was 18, but I wont get on a scale to prove it, just take my word for it.

Listen, I hope it is, I just don't think I will be taking there word for it, been there done that and burned all the time.

  5. First, we are talking about all workers - not just the unions. And isn't it better to have a job with "less rights, money and benefits" than no job at all? THAT'S what was happening...the businesses were moving out of state.

    Second,

  6. I don't live in Wisconsin, so I am speaking on a nation level, but going to assume that its very similar to Illinois or wherever, my point is that its a employer market right now and they should be happy because people are being forced to take a lot less money, less benefits and so on and its those who are basking in their success, the big companies who think its all good. I guess since its A-OK now, unemployment must be way down in Wisconsin.

  7. The point I'm trying to make is that for the last several years, Wisconsin was losing jobs left and right because the administration made it difficult for employers. Now that we have a business friendly environment, it's GOOD news that employers are staying and hiring.

Unemployment is not way down, however we are creating more jobs for more people. Why would you find fault with that? Or do you just like to argue? I don't understand why pointing out that employers are happier with the business climate is a bad thing.

  8. My bottom line on this is that if they are going to say its all good, then show me the low unemployment, that people are being paid at a cost of living level and so on.
