We the People be Damned!!

This is un-freakin-believable
Just days before an election that could decide the fate of a planned high-speed rail line, state and federal administrators quietly signed a deal to commit the state to spending all $810 million of the federal stimulus cash allocated to the Milwaukee-to-Madison route, transportation officials confirmed Monday.

The unannounced weekend agreement frees outgoing Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle's administration to sign contracts for much if not all of the work. That could hamstring efforts by Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker and his fellow Republicans to kill the project and spend the money on something else if they take control of the governor's office and either or both chambers of the state Legislature and Congress on Tuesday.

Walker, the GOP candidate for governor, blasted the deal, saying, "This is just raw political power at its worst. This is why the Doyle administration is corrupt and unwilling to listen to taxpayers."
Please - go read the rest here.

This literally makes me sick to my stomach, in much the same way that pushing Obamacare made me sick. It has been patently obvious that the majority of Wisconsin doesn't WANT that boondoggle. But the hell with us, right? As long as Doyle and his little puppet Barrett get their choo choo train, who gives a damn. Doyle will go away smirking that arrogant little smirk and WE THE PEOPLE of Wisconsin will be left paying the bill.

What the f*ck is going on in this country??? Aren't these elected officials supposed to be representing those of us who voted for them?? And for the record, I didn't vote for Obama or Doyle. When did it become commonplace for elected officials to CRAM through their f*cking agenda regardless of whether the majority of voters wanted it or not? And, as a matter of fact, when they KNEW that the majority of voters were against that particular agenda??

Lord have Mercy - tomorrow is STILL too far away.

  1. And the Democrats will have until January in Lame Duck to push their agenda. Conservatives need to be loud and clear about this NOW, not later.

  2. The Republicans would do VERY well to paste Doyle's face on the Democrat Party for the next 2 or 3 election cycles.
